Workers Federation Organises Programme On Social Protection Law, Labour Law

Muscat: The General Federation of Oman Workers has commenced the initial phase of a field program on the Social Protection Law and the Labour Law in collaboration with production parties and relevant national authorities. The program, which began in Muscat Governorate, will span over multiple days.

The objective of the field program is to strengthen the principles of work and negotiation, as well as address the challenges faced by workers when implementing the provisions of the Social Protection Law and the Labour Law. Additionally, it aims to showcase exemplary practices based on the application of these laws.

The program equips workers with practical tools and essential skills to adapt to the transitions and challenges of the labor market.

Under the patronage of Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), the program was inaugurated with a launch ceremony.

The program organizers will make stops at four locations, targeting labor syndicates and human resources representatives from private sector companies.

The first station covers the governorates of Muscat, South Al Batina, and South A'Sharqiya. The second stopover will be in the governorates of A’Dakhiliya and A'Dhahira. The third station covers the governorates of North Al Batina and Al Buraimi. Lastly, the fourth station will be in the Governorate of Dhofar.
