Muscat: Fans from Oman who are eager to travel to the Republic of Iraq to support their national team in the Asian qualifiers have been granted a waiver from visa fees, as announced by the Oman Football Association (OFA).
In a formal statement, the OFA mentioned, "In light of the recent announcement from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Baghdad, we wish to inform the supporters of our national team who are planning to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match against the Iraqi national team scheduled for September 5. It has been confirmed that these fans will be exempt from entry visa fees for both air and land travel to Basra Governorate. This exemption will be applicable from September 2, 2025, to September 5, 2025."
