Two Expats Held For Fake Real Estate Advertisements

Muscat: According to the Muscat Governorate Police Command, two people of Egyptian origin have been apprehended for posting bogus advertisements on social media and marketing applications.

They provided houses, businesses, and entertainment complexes for rent at modest rates with the purpose of committing fraud.

They demanded money from the victims as a down payment to validate the reservations, used false names to conceal their identities, and evaded arrest. Legal procedures are ongoing against them.
