Muscat: The Wilayat of Sur has been bestowed with the distinction of receiving the most substantial rainfall within the Sultanate of Oman during the period of Monday and Tuesday, October 14, 15, 2024, with a total accumulation of 33 mm, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR).
The Ministry's chart delineates that the Wilayat of Sur in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate was the recipient of the highest rainfall, attaining a total of 33 mm, with the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali within the same governorate closely following suit with 26 mm on the aforementioned dates.
Furthermore, the Wilayat of Al Jazir in Al Wusta Governorate has documented 4 mm of rainfall, while the Wilayat of Haima within the same governorate has recorded a rainfall total of 3 mm.
