Muscat: The esteemed Royal Guard of Oman commemorated its annual festivity on Sunday, the first of November each year, under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al-Shariqi, the Inspector General of Police and Customs.
The festivities were graced by the graduation of a new cohort of soldiers, alongside a variety of segments, including field military formations and parachute jumps, which showcased the Royal Guard of Oman's exceptional efficiency and flawless performance, under the exemplary leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.
The event commenced with the playing of the Royal Anthem, followed by the inspection of the parade column by the commander, with the necessary permissions granted by the occasion's sponsor.
The parade column then executed a sequence of silent movements, culminating in the formation of the phrase "Our resolve never weakens" and the word "Guards," symbolizing the Royal Guard of Oman's deep respect and care for the Supreme Commander, as well as the high level of expertise and skill possessed by its members.
The column proceeded with a slow march, accompanied by the military musical rhythms of the Royal Guard of Oman, as it passed in front of the main platform, led by the banner of the Royal Guard of Oman.
The Inspector General of Police and Customs, the honored patron of the event, bestowed the Special Service Medal of the Guard upon several members of the Royal Guard of Oman, recognizing their contributions during their service, their unwavering loyalty to the nation and His Majesty the Supreme Commander, and their dedication to fulfilling their national duties.
Following this, the parade column commenced the rendition of the anthem of the Royal Guard of Oman, accompanied by a parachute display conducted by the Royal Guard of Oman's free-fall team. Subsequently, the graduates joined in with the call of support, echoing it thrice in honor of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander. The parade column then advanced in formation, culminating in the playing of the Royal Anthem. Subsequently, the commander of the column sought permission to depart from the square, as the columns proceeded in front of the main platform to mark the conclusion of the traditional march, accompanied by the music of the Royal Guard of Oman and the participation of the Royal Guard of Oman cavalry, thereby signaling the end of the celebration ceremonies.
The event was graced by the presence of numerous distinguished individuals, including a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers, the Chairman of the Shura Council, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces, military, and security agencies, a number of retired commanders, esteemed members of the State Council, and a number of Their Excellencies.
Furthermore, the event was also attended by a multitude of senior officers from the Sultan's Armed Forces, the Royal Guard of Oman, other military and security agencies, a number of retired senior officers from the Royal Guard of Oman, a group of military attachés from sisterly and friendly countries, a group of officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel from the Royal Guard of Oman, and a group of invitees.
