"That's Not For Me To Decide": Carlo Ancelotti Brushes Away Rumours About His Future At Real Madrid

Madrid: Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, dismissed the speculation and rumors regarding his potential departure from Santiago Bernabeu at the conclusion of the season.

Currently, Real Madrid leads the league with a two-point edge over their local rivals, Atletico Madrid, as they strive to secure the La Liga title for the second consecutive year.

Following the first half of the current season, social media buzz suggested that Ancelotti might leave Los Blancos in the summer, despite his contract extending until the summer of 2026.

In response to inquiries about his future prior to the Champions League match against RB Salzburg, Ancelotti refuted the exit rumors.

"I want to be very clear: the timing of my departure from this club will never be determined by me. Never. In my entire career, I have never made that decision. I understand that this day will eventually arrive. When it happens, I cannot say. It is not for me to decide," Ancelotti stated during his pre-match press conference, as reported by Sky Sports.

"It could be tomorrow [Wednesday] after the game, it could be after the next match, or it could be in a year or even five years. I simply do not know. The fact that Florentino [Perez, Madrid President] has been re-elected for another four years and knows me well motivates me to remain here for that duration, so we can bid farewell to each other with mutual respect and affection," he continued.

Last month, Ancelotti solidified his legacy as Real Madrid's most successful manager by securing the club's 15th title, following their triumph in the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.
