Muscat: The Ministry of Transportation, Communications, and Information Technology clarified that the Nizwa-Bahla Dual Carriageway Project, for which the Projects, Tenders, and Local Content Authority has issued a tender, entails widening the existing road from the Daris Roundabout in the Wilayat of Nizwa to the Jabrin area in the Wilayat of Bahla, within Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, for a total length of 40 kilometers.
According to the ministry, the project includes the building of two traffic signs near Bahla Souq (market), ten roundabouts at various locations along the route, and multiple pedestrian and vehicle tunnels in commercial and high-traffic sections.
It emphasized that the design ensures function in all weather situations.
The ministry stated that the project is anticipated to improve traffic flow, increase social connection, decrease traffic accidents, and stimulate economic, trade, and tourist activities.
