Muscat: A new decision has been released by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) to establish a bylaw aimed at regulating the billing of telecom services and guaranteeing the precision of such billing based on leading global practices and standards within the industry.
This bylaw encompasses definitions and general provisions, responsibilities of licensees, tariffs, cost rates, payment processes, auditing practices, performance metrics, and administrative penalties.
The objective of the bylaw is to provide precise billing for telecom services, safeguard the rights of beneficiaries, foster fair competition, increase transparency, improve service quality, and implement the highest standards and practices in the industry.
