Team India Starts Practice Session Ahead Of 2nd Bangladesh Test

Kanpur: The Indian team commenced their practice session in Kanpur preceding the Test match against Bangladesh.

The forthcoming second Test of the bilateral series is scheduled to be held at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur, commencing from Friday. India currently holds a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official Twitter handle has shared photographs and videos from the practice session. The team's top order, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, along with the pace quartet of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav, and pace specialist Jasprit Bumrah, participated in the practice session.

India emerged victorious in the first Test, securing a 280-run win, setting a target of 515 runs for Bangladesh, which they were unable to achieve, resulting in a skittles victory for India. The standout performers in India's triumph were Ravichandran Ashwin (113 and 6/88), Shubman Gill (119*), Rishabh Pant (109), and Jasprit Bumrah (4/50 and 1/24).

The Indian team has opted to retain the same lineup for the upcoming second Test, which is scheduled to begin in Kanpur on September 27.
