Muscat: The Oman Association for Consumer Protection (OACP) convened a symposium today to explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on enhancing food security and delivering innovative solutions for the sustainability of food resources in the Sultanate of Oman.
Taking place in Muscat, the symposium emphasized the importance of incorporating AI technologies into the agricultural sector to promote sustainable development in food security. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture.
The discussions aimed to raise consumer awareness regarding artificial intelligence and its potential applications in bolstering food security. Additionally, the symposium highlighted the critical role of AI strategies in increasing agricultural productivity and ensuring the long-term sustainability of food resources.
