Muscat: Today marked the inaugural joint session of the 2nd annual convening for the 8th term of the Council of Oman, held by the State Council and the Shura Council.
The session was presided over by Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, the Chairman of the State Council.
Key topics discussed included contentious issues surrounding several draft laws, such as the Electronic Transactions draft law, the Public Health draft law, the Human Organ and Tissue Transplantation and Transfer draft law, the Financial draft law, the Individual Income Tax draft law, and the draft laws concerning Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.
Attendees included Khalid Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of the Shura Council, along with members from both the State Council and the Shura Council, as well as the Secretaries General of both councils.
