Solar Eclipse: Parts Of Middle East To Go Dark For 6 Minutes On This Date

Muscat: A rare total solar eclipse will take place on August 2, 2027, engulfing parts of the globe in darkness for more than six minutes, the longest such event seen from land in over a century.

The eclipse's path of totality will traverse southern Europe, North Africa, and portions of the Middle East, providing skywatchers in these areas with a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event.
