Muscat: The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development conducted a talk session on Monday to expand SMEs in the retail, construction, and manufacturing industries.
The session supports the Authority's goal of building collaborations with key organisations and enhancing the business climate for SMEs.
The goal of the session was to empower SMEs in developing these key sectors through new ideas, operational efficiency, and promoting public-private collaborations.
It also aimed to highlight the sector's critical role in supporting the national economy.
Key discussion topics included laws, regulations, licensing, and enabling frameworks to help SMEs create new solutions and collaborations in the retail, construction, and manufacturing industries.
Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, and Halima Rashid Al Zarei, Chairperson of the SMEs Authority, were joined by other officials from relevant organizations and SME entrepreneurs in the retail, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
