Al Buraimi: In a bid to enhance investment in the agricultural sector, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, has unveiled six new investment opportunities in the Al Buraimi Governorate.
These opportunities are available on the “Tatweer Platform,” designed to attract investors and encourage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to leverage the region's agricultural resources through advanced technologies.
The total area for these investment opportunities spans 29.6 acres, featuring a primary investment site in the Al Zaroub area of the Wilayat of Mahda, covering 4.6 acres dedicated to the cultivation of green vegetables utilizing modern agricultural techniques to enhance productivity.
Additionally, five investment opportunities have been designated for SMEs in the Safwan area of the Wilayat of Mahda, with each opportunity encompassing five acres for the cultivation of vegetables, ginger, onions, potatoes, and seasonal fodder.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources emphasized that applications for these investment opportunities should be submitted via the “Tatweer Platform,” which offers a streamlined process for application submissions and encourages investor participation in the agricultural sector.
This initiative aligns with government efforts to strengthen food security, support SMEs, and enhance agricultural productivity in the Sultanate of Oman.
