Shura Council Forwards Personal Income Tax Bill To State Council

Musqat: Today, the Shura Council has passed the draft law concerning Personal Income Tax (PIT) to the State Council, marking the conclusion of the legislative process for the PIT bill.

This development occurred during the 12th regular session of the Shura Council's inaugural annual assembly for the 10th Term (2023-2027), presided over by Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, the Council's Chairman. The meeting also addressed various topics, such as a report presented by the committee responsible for education, research, and innovation, focusing on strategies to enhance vocational and technical education.

Furthermore, discussions included proposals for establishing a wholesale market in the Wilayat of Sohar and considerations regarding the recovery of VAT imposed on a beneficiary's primary residential property.
