Muscat: The Shabiba Jawa'iz Basma 2025 (Social Impact Awards), a unique awards program, is being organised by Muscat Media Group in collaboration with the Gulf Leaders Circle. Dedicated to honoring outstanding contributions to the Sultanate's social, environmental, and economic well-being.
The prizes will be awarded on September 17 at the St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort, bringing together leaders from government, industry, and civil society.
The awards will honor efforts, groups, and individuals who have made a considerable contribution in sectors such as sustainability, environmental preservation, youth participation, women's empowerment, and poverty alleviation. Financial inclusion, SME growth, and more. With more than 20 distinct prize categories, the project corresponds with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, which include inclusive growth, public-private partnership, and sustainable development.
"The Shabiba Jawa'iz Basma is more than a celebration," said Ahmed Essa Al Zedjali, CEO of Muscat Media Group. "It's a call to action—to Honor individuals who are redefining the concept of creating value for society and encouraging others to do so.
Awards will be given out in five main categories: Environmental Impact, Community Wellbeing, Inclusive Development, Corporate Responsibility, and Sustainability Leadership. The specific categories include Biodiversity Conservation Initiative, Clean Energy Initiative, Community Healthcare Initiative, Women Empowerment Initiative, Financial Inclusion Initiative, SME Development, Omanization Achievement, and Social Entrepreneurship.
Furthermore, there are awards for Leadership in ESG and CSR. The awards for ICV Leadership and Social Impact Leader of the Year will honor innovative people and organizations who are working to promote long-term, systematic social progress in Oman.
