Manah: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the esteemed Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, today graced the occasion of Omani Youth Day with his presence.
The event, hosted at the "Oman Across the Ages Museum" within the Wilayat of Manah (A’Dakhiliyah Governorate), celebrated the achievements of the Youth Excellence Award's 5th edition recipients.
The festivities were marked by the inauguration of a three-day Youth Initiatives Exhibition, showcasing ten diverse themes. These initiatives encompass a broad spectrum of specializations, including financial technology, education, employment, physical fitness, crafts, environment, media, engineering, and law.
Furthermore, the event witnessed the establishment of Youth Centre branches across various governorates, aiming to nurture and develop the skills of youth from all segments of the Sultanate of Oman.
The ceremony also concluded with the signing of five 'cooperation and partnership agreements'. Notably, the first agreement was a 'cooperation programme' to fund a feasibility study for the Youth Centre project with OQ Group.
The second agreement was a 'partnership' with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for the execution of a programme named “musta’id” or ‘Ready’. The third agreement was established with Vodafone Company.
The fourth agreement was a 'strategic partnership' between the Youth Centre and ITCHA Group. Lastly, a land investment agreement was signed for the establishment of the Youth Centre's branch in the Wilayat of Nizwa.
At the event's conclusion, HH Sayyid Theyazin extended his heartfelt congratulations to the recipients of the Youth Excellence Award (5th edition) for the year 2024. A total of 21 young individuals were honored, each excelling in one of five domains: Digital Media, Digital Economy, Environment, Youth Initiatives, and Entrepreneurship.
