Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, has arrived in Kuwait to head the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation at the 45th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit.
Upon his arrival at Kuwait’s Amiri Airport, he was warmly welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait.
In his statement, Sayyid Fahd conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the leaders of the GCC member states. He expressed his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Kuwait’s leadership and its people, while also hoping for the summit to successfully meet its objectives.
He reaffirmed Oman’s steadfast support for the GCC and praised Kuwait’s initiatives in promoting the council’s mission. Sayyid Fahd expressed optimism for ongoing development and advancement among all member states.
Reflecting on the achievements of the GCC, he noted, “Since its inception, the Cooperation Council has made remarkable strides in economic, social, legislative, and scientific domains. It is crucial to build upon these successes and enhance cooperation and integration among the Gulf nations, which share a rich and intertwined history.”
