Muscat: On Wednesday, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), welcomed Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy, along with his military delegation, at his office in Al Murtafa’a Garrison.
The discussions during the meeting covered various military topics of mutual interest.
In attendance were Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), and the Military Attaché from the Italian Embassy in Muscat.
Additionally, the Italian Navy Chief and his delegation visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) on the same day.
During this visit, they were accompanied by the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and received a warm welcome from the Acting Head of the MSC.
The delegation was provided with insights into the tactical roles and responsibilities of the centre, which plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the Omani maritime environment. They also had the opportunity to tour the centre’s facilities and observe the latest equipment and technologies employed in fulfilling its national duties.
