Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have issued a caution to vehicles traveling Sultan Said bin Taimur Road, urging them to exercise care owing to hazardous driving conditions. The ROP reported that low visibility and sand build-up have been observed along several sections of the road, particularly from the Al Barakat Bridge to the Al Zahia area in Adam. This is due to the presence of strong winds in the region.
In a public statement, the ROP cautioned: Users of Sultan Said bin Taimur Road should be aware of poor visibility and sand buildup in certain parts of the road from Al Barakat Bridge to the Al Zahia area in Adam due to strong winds. Please exercise caution. Drivers are encouraged to decrease their speed, keep a safe distance, and be alert of possible dangers on these impacted sections of roadway.
