ROP Ready To Provide Help, Security To Dhofar Tourists

Salalah: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced its preparedness for the 2025 Dhofar Khareef season.

On Sunday, the General Command of Police gave the Dhofar Governorate Police Command a human support force, specialized machinery, and technical equipment to aid in field operations and improve security and police services offered to governorate visitors during the tourist season.

To improve quick response to diverse reports, decrease traffic accidents, and offer guidance and assistance to tourists and road users traveling to Dhofar Governorate, the Royal Oman Police has established check points at various locations and equipped them with direct contact numbers to make it easy for visitors to reach out when needed and ensure security coverage of all areas along the road.

For their part, mounted patrols will help to cover tourist attractions that are hard to access by car, ensuring closeness to visitors at these places, boosting police presence for safety and reassurance.

Coast Guard rescue teams will be deployed on Dhofar Governorate's beaches and near water springs to ensure a quick response to drowning situations and to offer advice and guidance to tourists.

Police aviation will assist in situations that need helicopters, such as search and rescue missions, and will offer air ambulance services as required.

The Royal Oman Police has stated that it is prepared to manage all situations and protect the season's activities and events, including assisting with passport and visa applications, simplifying movement at land and customs ports, and strengthening police patrols at popular attractions and event places.

The Royal Oman Police urges all guests to follow by the laws and regulations, cooperate with the police, and dial the emergency number (9999) if they require assistance.
