Le Havre: The Royal Navy of Oman's ship Shabab Oman II finished its participation in the Le Havre Sailing Festival, which runs from 47 July 2025 at the port of Le Havre, France.
The ship will now begin its participation in the Tall Ships Race, which will take place over four legs, as part of its seventh international voyage to Europe, dubbed Glories of the Seas in 2025.
On the second day of the festival, Shabab Oman II received the title of Best Crew Parade Ship at a presentation hosted by the festival administration. The event included a variety of activities, and the ship opened its doors to tourists, achieving its goal of promoting friendship and cultural exchange between Oman and other countries by highlighting the country's rich maritime heritage and customs.
The crew also took part in the procession of ships' crews through the French city and participated in a number of coastal and marine sports.
This seventh international voyage will have 30 stops in 24 ports across 15 countries over the course of six months. The Tall Ships Race 2025 will start in Le Havre and continue to Dunkirk (France), Aberdeen (Scotland), and Kristiansand (Norway), before finishing in Esbjerg, Denmark.
Shabab Oman II will also participate in sailing celebrations in Bremerhaven, Germany, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
