Piyush Goyal Holds Talks With Investment Minister Of Saudi Arabia To Boost India-Saudi Trade

New Delhi: In order to promote trade and investment ties between India and Saudi Arabia, Indian Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih.

The online meeting centered on fostering closer economic ties, promoting mutual development, fostering innovation, and looking at long-term collaboration.

Goyal tweeted details of the meeting, stating, Had a fruitful discussion with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment @Khalid_AlFalih. We talked about fostering closer commercial and investment connections between India and Saudi Arabia, with an emphasis on shared development, creativity, and long-term cooperation.

The day after Goyal had another virtual meeting with HE Faisal bin Fadel AlIbrahim, the Saudi Arabian Minister of Economy and Planning, this conversation took place.

The discussion there centered on strengthening the commercial and investment ties between India and Saudi Arabia and finding potential areas of collaboration in strategic industries.

The two ministers discussed potential collaboration in industries like ceramics, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, and others. To promote direct interaction and improve the connection, Goyal also extended an invitation for Minister AlIbrahim to come to India in the near future.

We talked about ways to improve India-Saudi Arabia relations, with a particular emphasis on boosting our commercial and investment cooperation and cooperating in important industries like pharmaceuticals, petroleum, ceramics, etc. Additionally, extended an invitation for His Excellency to come to India as soon as possible.
