Dubai: In the latest update from the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan's Saud Shakeel and bowler Noman Ali have made notable advancements in the Men's Test rankings.
Their contributions were pivotal in securing Pakistan's 127-run victory over the West Indies, putting the hosts ahead 1-0 in the two-Test series, as reported by the ICC.
Saud Shakeel, with 753 rating points, scored 84 runs in the first innings, moving up three positions to 8th in the batting rankings, surpassing Steve Smith (746, 9th) and Rishabh Pant (739, 10th).
The top two Test batters in the world remain England's Joe Root (895) and Harry Brook (876), followed by New Zealand's seasoned player Kane Williamson (867).
Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead as the top bowler with a career-high score of 908 points. He is followed by Australia's Pat Cummins (841) and South Africa's Kagiso Rabada (837).
Noman Ali, with 761 points, has entered the top 10 following an impressive six-wicket haul in the first Test against the West Indies in Multan.
Other significant movers include Pakistan's Sajid Khan (621), who rose 18 places to No. 23 after his exceptional performance in the first Test victory. Jomel Warrican (521) achieved a 10-wicket haul in the same match, climbing 12 spots to No. 41 in the rankings.
There has been no change in the top 10 all-rounders in Test cricket, with India's Ravindra Jadeja (400 rating points) maintaining the top position, followed by South Africa's Marco Jansen (294) and Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan (263).
