Nizwa: The Directorate General of Social Development in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, represented by the Family Development Department, today launched the Our Safe Home initiative to promote family safety and foster a home environment based on understanding, compassion, and mutual respect among family members.
The initiative aims to improve family unity by promoting positive communication within households and reaffirming shared values that promote a safe and stable atmosphere conducive to the psychological and social development of all family members.
The effort resulted in three working papers. The first one addressed the subject of "How to Find Yourself Amidst the Crowd of Comparisons? " aimed at the 1328 age group. It examined the traits of future generations, the influence of comparing oneself to others, and techniques for psychological balance.
The second paper, titled "Red Flag," looked at warning signs during involvement and marriage, distinguishing between normal conflicts and red flags, as well as observation mechanisms, educational attention, and self-calming techniques in family and societal contexts—targeted at adolescents and soon-to-be-married individuals.
The third paper is titled "Digital Upbringing in a FastPaced World. " It focused on the distinctions between digital and traditional upbringing, the characteristics and problems of the digital world, the balance of real and virtual life, and supportive tools for digital parenting.
This initiative supports the Ministry of Social Development's aim to improve family cohesion and teach positive communication principles, which will help with psychological and familial stability while also reinforcing societal values.
