MUSCAT: LYNEports, the global leader in digital infrastructure planning for vertiports and advanced air mobility (AAM), has formed a strategic partnership with AeroVecto, Oman's first hybrid-electric VTOL (Vertical TakeOff and Landing) aircraft developer.
The cooperation seeks to create a smart, scalable urban air mobility ecosystem adapted to Oman's changing transportation demands.
Shuttle, AeroVecto's flagship hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft, is at the core of this cooperation, designed for short-range, high-capacity passenger transportation inside and between cities. Shuttle is designed with regional climate resilience, passenger comfort, and operating efficiency in mind, with the goal of revolutionizing intracity movement across the Sultanate and the greater GCC.
Under this collaboration, LYNEports will offer its AI-powered planning platform to simulate, design, and optimise a strong network of vertiports for Shuttle operations.
This entails site selection, airspace modeling, environmental assessment, and transit integration to verify that each vertiport satisfies aviation-grade safety, regulatory compliance, and scalability requirements.
"We're thrilled to help AeroVecto realize their revolutionary vision," says LYNEports CEO Rasha Alshami.
"Their dedication to addressing actual public transportation issues in the area corresponds well with our goal of making sophisticated air mobility infrastructure accessible, safe, and thoughtfully designed from day one. "
Fahad Al Riyami, CEO of AeroVecto, said: "Our objective is to make high-capacity aerial transit a viable and sustainable option for communities throughout Oman and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). " Partnering with LYNEports enables us to fasttrack the development and execution of our Shuttle network with world-class accuracy and insight. "
The collaboration will initially focus on feasibility reviews and integrated simulations for urban corridors in Muscat, Sohar, and Salalah. Long-term intentions include contributing to Oman's national green mobility and smart city infrastructure strategy, as detailed in Vision 2040.
By combining cutting-edge aircraft technology with digital infrastructure innovation, LYNEports and AeroVecto hope to establish Oman as a regional leader in urban air mobility.
