Oman’s Ambassador Presents Credentials To President Of Bangladesh

Dhaka: On Thursday, President Mohammed Shahabuddin of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh accepted Jameel Haji Al Balushi's credentials as Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh at the Presidential Palace in Dhaka.

During the meeting, the Ambassador delivered His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's regards to the President, along with His Majesty's wishes for good health and happiness. His Majesty also wished the people of Bangladesh continued progress and prosperity.

On his turn, the President of Bangladesh instructed the ambassador to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan, wishing the Omani people continued success and development.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin expressed his happiness that this occasion coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Oman and Bangladesh. He emphasized the strength of bilateral relations and praised Oman’s constructive contribution under His Majesty’s leadership in promoting worldwide peace and security. He also praised Oman's contribution to the support of regional and global stability and development efforts.

Furthermore, the Ambassador reiterated Oman's dedication to enhancing friendship and cooperation with Bangladesh. He also emphasized the necessity of strengthening bilateral collaborations in a variety of areas, notably in economic areas such as energy, petroleum derivatives, minerals, and pharmaceuticals.

The ambassador emphasized the possibility for broadening new investment opportunities in special economic zones between the two nations.
