Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit has been honored with the "Distinguished Innovation Enabler" Award, ranking among the top five globally for its initiative: the Institutional Innovation Guide.
This accolade was awarded by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) during the “Global Innovation Summit 2025” held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Summit convened leading innovators, industry trailblazers, and thought leaders from around the world, focusing on fostering international collaboration and knowledge sharing in various sectors of innovation. The recognition of this award highlights the Unit’s commitment to advancing the priorities outlined in Oman Vision 2040.
This achievement presents a significant opportunity to elevate Oman’s profile on both regional and international stages, while also showcasing the Unit’s collaborative efforts with relevant organizations. Notably, the development of the “Institutional Innovation Guide,” set for completion in the second quarter of 2024, will mark the first comprehensive institutional innovation guide in the Middle East and North Africa Region.
The Global Distinguished Innovator Awards are presented annually by the Global Innovation Institute across ten categories, aimed at honoring individuals and both public and private entities that exhibit outstanding contributions to innovation. This year, over 2,400 projects from approximately 36 countries were submitted for consideration.
