Oman, UK Review Bilateral Relations

Muscat: The 16th session of the Oman-UK Working Group convened in Muscat on Sunday.

Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, led the Omani delegation, while the British delegation was headed by Hamish Falconer, Minister of State for the Middle East.

The meeting focused on reviewing the current state of bilateral relations and identifying ways to enhance them to meet mutual goals.

Discussions included potential areas for collaboration in culture, tourism, education, vocational training, environmental initiatives, and renewable energy. Additionally, both parties exchanged insights on regional and global developments.

Attendees included Munthir Mahfoudh Al Manthiri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry, Abdullah Hamad Al Riami, Head of the Cultural Cooperation Department, Dr. Liane Saunders, the UK Ambassador to Oman, and various representatives from relevant government agencies.
