Oman Storm Into Gulf Cup Final

Muscat: Oman secured a place in the final of the 26th Gulf Cup by defeating Saudi Arabia 2-1 on Tuesday.

In a remarkable display, the ten-man Oman team advanced to their second consecutive Gulf Cup final following an exhilarating 2-1 victory over Saudi Arabia in Kuwait. 

Arshad Al Alawi scored a stunning goal in the 74th minute, giving Oman a 1-0 advantage after Al Mandhar Al Alawi was shown a red card in the 34th minute. Ali Al Busaidi extended the lead to 2-0 in the 84th minute, and although Mohammed Kanno netted a goal for Saudi Arabia in the 87th minute, Rasheed Jaber's Red Warriors held their ground to secure a spot in the final, where they will face the winner of the Bahrain versus Kuwait match on January 4.
