Oman Participates In Arabian Travel Market Exhibition In Dubai

Dubai--- Today in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the 32nd edition of the Arabian Travel Market exhibition commenced, featuring the Sultanate of Oman among its participants.
This four-day event carries the theme "Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow's Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity. "
Leading the Omani delegation is Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Heritage and Tourism.
Al Mahrouqi mentioned that the ministry is participating with representatives from 37 tourism and hospitality firms, including numerous small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In a statement delivered to the Oman News Agency, the Minister noted that Oman's involvement in the Arabian Travel Market 2025 in Dubai is part of its ongoing drive to elevate its status as a premier global tourism destination, offering experiences that align with the expectations of travelers around the world.
He remarked that this year's participation intends to enhance the visibility of Omani tourism businesses in international markets, encompassing a wide range of tourism sectors, particularly SMEs. This underscores the ministry’s dedication to creating new growth opportunities for these enterprises to increase their international competitiveness.
The Minister further stated that Oman aims to allure more investors and international collaborators through its presence at the exhibition. The Omani pavilion will feature a variety of activities, including the signing of strategic partnership agreements with global tourism organizations and the announcement of the upcoming Khareef Dohfar 2025 season, a notable seasonal tourism highlight in the region.
Al Mahrouqi also pointed out that the exhibition presents an opportunity to foster collaboration with regional and international airlines to boost tourist arrivals in Oman, while promoting tourism and sharing the ministry’s strategic vision for future sector development in line with Oman Vision 2040. He expressed confidence that these initiatives will strengthen Oman’s reputation as a distinguished global tourism destination rooted in its cultural heritage.
Oman’s agenda at the event includes various activities such as meetings involving ministers, CEOs, and both global and regional airlines, a press briefing to unveil the Khareef Dohfar 2025 events, and the establishment of several agreements with international tourism organizations for promotional collaborations with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. Additionally, direct discussions will occur with travel and tourism operators along with service providers.
The Arabian Travel Market 2025 functions as a vital platform for knowledge sharing and partnership among stakeholders in travel and tourism, including hotels, airlines, travel agencies, and tour operators, featuring participation from 161 countries and showcasing 2,800 exhibitors.
Statistics show that the number of air travelers from the GCC tourism market to Oman reached 1,506,688 by the conclusion of 2024.
