Muscat, 5 Feb (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman has reiterated its firm position and outright rejection of any efforts to displace the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Oman emphasized the importance of recognizing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their own independent state on their land.
In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry today, the Sultanate of Oman cautioned that any initiatives aimed at relocating Palestinians from their territories represent a blatant violation of international law and established international resolutions. It further stated that such actions pose a significant threat to security and stability in the region.
The Sultanate of Oman urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian people. It stressed the urgent need for a fair and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue, grounded in international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative—one that guarantees the creation of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al Quds A’Sharqiyah (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
