Muscat— The Sultanate of Oman is the guest of honor at the 56th Algiers International Fair, which will be place at the Safex Expo Center in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria from June 23 to 28, 2025.
This engagement highlights the Sultanate of Oman's and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria's fraternal and economic ties, as well as the successful collaboration between the two nations in a variety of areas.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion leads the Omani delegation, which includes various government and private sector organizations. The Omani pavilion at the international fair includes more than 60 businesses and organizations from a range of industrial, commercial, and service sectors, including specialty firms in pharmaceuticals, transportation, electrical transformers, real estate, fisheries, tourism, food products, and handicrafts.
The participation aims to explore prospects for trade and investment exchanges, as well as discuss potential partnerships and export opportunities to the Algerian market, regional, and international markets.
Ibtisam Ahmed Al Farooji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, stated that Oman’s invitation as guest of honor at this event demonstrates the strength of bilateral and economic ties between the two nations. She emphasized that Oman regards Algeria as a country with promising prospects for investment, trade, and industrial collaboration.
She explained that the participation aims to present Oman as a promising investment destination by highlighting existing investment opportunities and showcasing its modern infrastructure, incentives, and assistance for investors, positioning it as a strategic platform for accessing regional and global markets.
She also highlighted that the Omani pavilion provides visitors and investors with an enriching interactive experience while serving as a platform for improved communication between Omani and Algerian enterprises.
The Algiers International Fair, held annually, draws hundreds of thousands of visitors and exhibitors from across the world. Oman's participation will strengthen its business and investment profile on the global arena, providing new opportunities for the Omani private sector to establish sustainable partnerships that support economic diversification and regional integration initiatives.
