New Update On Pakistani Visa Issuance Via Ambassador Of Pakistan In Oman

Muscat: Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, announced that the Sultanate of Oman has implemented stricter regulations regarding the issuance of new visas for Pakistani citizens across all categories.

Addressing the visa situation, the ambassador acknowledged ongoing efforts to resolve the matter. “We are hopeful that a solution will be reached soon,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of Pakistani expatriates obtaining the correct visas for their employment in Oman. “There are frequent instances of visa misuse,” he noted, clarifying that the concept of Azad visas does not exist.

“Do not arrive on Azad visas. Such options are nonexistent. It is essential for individuals to work under legitimate sponsors. The embassy is always available to assist,” he remarked.

Additionally, he mentioned that any disputes between sponsors and workers can be addressed in Omani courts. “It is crucial to familiarize yourself with the laws before arriving in Oman,” he advised.

A H Raja, the former chairman of the Pakistan Social Club, pointed out that many individuals enter Oman on visit visas. "Those on visit visas should refrain from working and must return once their visas expire,” he stated.
