Middle East: Explosions Hit Empty Buses In Tel Aviv Suburb

Israeli police reported that three buses detonated in a southern suburb of Tel Aviv, with authorities labeling the event as a "suspected terrorist attack."

Officials confirmed that there were no injuries, as the buses were unoccupied and parked at the time of the explosions.

"Initial findings indicate a suspected terror attack. We have received multiple reports of explosions involving several buses at various locations in Bat Yam," the police stated.

The statement also noted that police units have been dispatched to search for potential suspects.

"Bomb disposal teams are currently examining the area for any additional suspicious devices. We advise the public to steer clear of these locations and to remain vigilant for any unusual items," the statement continued.

Israeli media further reported that two other explosive devices had been successfully neutralized.

Israel to Enhance Military Operations in West Bank Following Bus Explosions

The Israeli government announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been receiving updates regarding the recent bus explosions in the Tel Aviv region.

Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that he has directed the military to escalate its operations throughout the occupied West Bank in response to these incidents.

"In light of the serious attempted attacks in the Gush Dan area by Palestinian terrorist organizations targeting the civilian population in Israel, I have instructed the IDF to enhance operations aimed at countering terrorism in the Tulkarem refugee camp and all refugee camps in Judea and Samaria," Katz remarked in a statement, referring to the biblical designation for the West Bank.

Additionally, Israel's transport minister has instructed the Public Transit Authority to halt and inspect all buses, trains, and light-rail services, according to reports from Israeli media.
