Muscat: Today, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik engaged in a meeting with Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), at the Cabinet’s headquarters in London.
During the discourse, His Majesty the Sultan delved into the profound historical ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom, as well as explored avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation to further the mutual interests of the peoples of both nations.
The dialogue also encompassed discussions on regional and international developments, as well as other issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was graced by the presence of Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad Said Al Aufi, the Head of the Private Office, and Badr Mohammed Al Mantheri, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, from the Omani delegation.
On the British side, the meeting was also attended by David Lammy, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Liane Saunders, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Sultanate of Oman, and several other officials.
