Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has officially opened its doors to visitors. The inaugural day of the Expo saw a significant influx of officials, delegates from participating nations, as well as Japanese attendees and individuals from various other nationalities.

The Oman pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, provides a unique and engaging experience that merges cutting-edge interactive display technologies with natural elements across its various sections.

Sajda bint Rashid Al Ghaithi, the Director of the Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, shared that the team had thoroughly prepared to greet visitors from the very first day of the event.

She expressed her hope that the pavilion's visual and auditory representation of Oman's cultural heritage, investment prospects, and tourism would help fulfill the goals of the Sultanate's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan.

Al-Ghaithi mentioned that visitors enter the pavilion at staggered intervals, with exhibition halls accommodating groups of 20, allowing for two groups to gather in the main exhibition hall, which has a capacity of 40.

She highlighted that the pavilion consists of three halls, two of which feature an introductory presentation showcasing the interplay between water and land through rainfall and its effects. This presentation also illustrates the diverse wildlife of the Sultanate of Oman, including exhibits of native species such as the Arabian oryx and various deep-sea creatures.

Al Ghaithi mentioned that guests proceed to the main hall, where an interactive presentation unfolds the narrative of water, land, and humanity, illustrating how the daily lives of Omanis coexist harmoniously with their environment. The exhibition also covers the irrigation system, known as aflaj, showcasing the evolution of human life from historical times to the present, along with future goals such as Oman Vision 2040 and the government's initiatives for sustainable development.

She highlighted that these subjects, aligned with the themes of Expo 2025, are conveyed through an engaging film featuring Omani faces and traditional attire.

Al Ghaithi further explained that visitors transition from the main hall to the Water and Fragrant Land Corridor, where they can experience the delightful scents of Oman, carefully curated in partnership with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through innovative water bubble devices.

Sajida Al Ghaithi added that guests then enter the Wadi area, which showcases reflections of Omani mountains and waterfalls, providing a scenic experience complemented by a shop and café.

She pointed out that there is a dedicated hall aimed at familiarizing visitors with the pavilion's cultural identity and investment opportunities across various economic sectors related to diversification, as well as highlighting the tourist attractions and landmarks that define the Sultanate of Oman’s governorates.

She emphasized that the visitor experience at the Sultanate of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, lasts between 15 to 20 minutes, noting that attendees are deeply engaged with the pavilion and its diverse offerings.

The Director of the Sultanate of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 mentioned that there are souvenirs available for purchase that reflect various aspects of the Sultanate of Oman, aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises and local artisans.
