Muscat: The Ministry of Labour today opened a three-day development workshop on training governance, which aims to conduct a comprehensive review and propose realistic, efficient, sustainable, and streamlined initiatives and projects for the training system.
Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, said that the workshop aims to redefine the future of government and private training in Oman, as well as vocational education. It intends to create a roadmap that aligns all training pathways with the goals and enablers of Oman Vision 2040, which focuses on human capital development.
The workshop will focus on key facts, common challenges, and agreement on solutions. It will also evaluate the quality of planning and implementation of Oman Vision 2040 at the Ministry of Labour, as well as review initiatives, finalize detailed draft plans, and assess the quality of planning.
Furthermore, the event will address the training sector's challenges, investigate revised laws and regulations for training governance, and propose projects and initiatives to improve and regulate Oman's training and human resources development sector.
