Joint Omani-Pakistani Military Exercise “Mountain Lynx” Begins

Jabal Akhdar: The collaborative military exercise titled "Washaq Al Jabal 1" or "Mountain Lynx 1," commenced today at the military training grounds in Al Jabal Al Akhdar. This exercise is a joint effort involving the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), units from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan's army, and the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).

This comprehensive drill, scheduled to conclude on October 21, 2024, encompasses a variety of military challenges and cooperative training exercises. Furthermore, the objective of this exercise is to maintain the combat and operational readiness of ROA personnel and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge with allied nations.

The proceedings of the exercise were graced by the presence of several senior officers from both participating countries.
