Joint Oman-India Military Cooperation Committee Holds Meeting

Muscat: On Wednesday, the 12th meeting of the Oman-India Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC) took place. Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence, chaired the meeting alongside Giridhar Aramane, Defence Secretary of the Republic of India.

During the meeting, a wide range of topics were discussed, all aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the military sector and the exchange of expertise.

Furthermore, this morning, Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Defence, held a meeting with Giridhar Aramane, Defence Secretary of India. The two sides engaged in fruitful discussions, exploring areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance them.

In addition, Oman and India signed annex (B) of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of military cooperation. The signing ceremony was attended by Al Za’abi and Aramane.

This annex focuses on organizing military cooperation in terms of defense material and equipment procurement between the two countries.
