Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, convened for an official discussion at Al Alam Palace today.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan warmly welcomed Sheikh Tamim and his delegation, expressing his pleasure regarding their visit and wishing them a pleasant stay in Oman.
In response, Sheikh Tamim conveyed his sincere gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan for the generous welcome and hospitality extended to him and his team.
The discussions focused on the cooperative, understanding, and fraternal relations between the two nations, as well as potential areas for partnership and investment. They explored opportunities to enhance these relations and expand collaboration across various sectors, aiming to strengthen the economies of both countries and fulfill the aspirations of their citizens.
Additionally, the two leaders shared insights on the current global situation and its potential impacts on the region, while also considering avenues for fostering regional and international peace, security, and stability.
