Muscat: Her Highness, the Honourable Lady, Spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, delivered a message on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, which is celebrated annually on the 17th of October. The message was as follows:
"The 17th of October marks a day that renews our pride and appreciation for the Omani woman, who, through her unwavering dedication and determination, has demonstrated that success knows no boundaries. The remarkable contributions of Omani women are evident across various fields, serving as a guiding light in the comprehensive renaissance of our cherished nation.
The prominent role of Omani women is sustained and celebrated through their cultural, social, and economic contributions as they stride forward on the path of progress and prosperity, raising the banner of self-sacrifice that receives unwavering support from our esteemed leadership.
The achievements of Omani women stir feelings of pride and inspiration. We encourage them to continue their remarkable journey towards broader horizons of success, creativity, self-improvement, and skill enhancement, ensuring they remain beacons of awareness and positivity, and voices that reject extremism and narrow-mindedness.
We are presently observing rapid developments that place a dual responsibility on women, particularly in the areas of child upbringing and family protection amidst the proliferation of modern communication means that engulf the globe, consuming time as individuals engage with the content disseminated through visual and written media. This, in turn, has led to new lifestyles and behaviors that necessitate an intensification of awareness regarding the importance of approaching media with caution, distinguishing between the positive and the negative aspects.
