First Hajj, Umrah Exhibition Kicks Off At OCEC

Muscat: The first Hajj and Umrah Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, commenced on Sunday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).

This three-day event gathers essential stakeholders, including representatives from government bodies, the private sector, and service providers for Hajj and Umrah.

The opening ceremony was conducted under the auspices of Sheikh Al Fadl Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers.

The exhibition's objective is to enhance collaboration among Hajj and Umrah stakeholders in Oman by offering a cohesive platform for partnership. It aims to boost competition among service providers catering to pilgrims, encourage innovation in delivering superior services, and facilitate access to information, allowing pilgrims to make informed decisions. Furthermore, the event aims to enrich cultural, historical, legal, and scientific knowledge through a variety of programs.

A range of supplementary activities will occur alongside the exhibition, including lectures on Hajj rituals, spiritual significance, and objectives, as well as a training workshop for Hajj companies titled "Welcome." An introductory session covering regulations and services available to pilgrims will also be included.
