FIH Statutory Congress Meetings Begins In Muscat

Muscat: The Sultanate has graciously hosted the inaugural meetings of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Statutory Congress, commencing on Thursday and scheduled to conclude on 9 November 2024.

This prestigious event is set to welcome 500 delegates from 141 nations, marking the beginning of a comprehensive gathering. The proceedings will be punctuated by FIH Executive Board meetings, during which the attendees will deliberate on a myriad of proposals designed to propel the sport of hockey on a global stage.

In addition to the substantive discussions, the FIH Congress will also feature a ceremonial event on the 8th of November, dedicated to the presentation of the Hockey Stars Awards.

The culmination of the Congress will be the election of a new board of directors for the FIH, with their mandate spanning the forthcoming four years.

Throughout the duration of the FIH Congress, participants will engage in deliberations on a diverse array of topics, encompassing regional, continental, and international meetings as outlined in the Congress agenda.
