Employment In Road Projects Reaches 166%

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has announced that it has achieved 166 percent of its employment targets for road projects' technical and specialized positions by the third quarter of 2024.

During this timeframe, the ministry successfully facilitated 333 employment opportunities for Omani citizens across various companies engaged in the construction of roads, surpassing its initial goal of 200 positions.

Furthermore, in the Logistics Sector, the Labour Market Regulatory Committee operates in alignment with specific objectives established by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology as part of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit's strategic plan.

It is important to highlight that the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology rigorously monitors all entities to ensure their commitment to maintaining employment rates.

In instances where companies fail to meet the established employment targets, the ministry is prepared to take appropriate measures to enforce compliance.
