Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted a farewell ceremony at the Royal Airport for Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, who concluded a two-day official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
His Majesty the Sultan extended his wishes for a safe journey back home to the Emir.
In addition to His Majesty, Sheikh Tamim was accompanied by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister (Head of the Mission of Honour); Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Ambassador of Oman to Qatar; members of the mission of honour; and representatives from the Qatari Embassy in Muscat.
Following the visit, His Majesty the Sultan received a message of gratitude from Sheikh Tamim, who conveyed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
Sheikh Tamim expressed his satisfaction with the discussions held with His Majesty, which addressed mutual concerns and explored ways to strengthen the fraternal ties between the two nations. He emphasized the shared commitment to further enhance and solidify these relations for the benefit of both countries' citizens.
