New Delhi: The era of enduring queues to purchase an iPhone is over. Commencing on Friday, consumers can now conveniently order an iPhone on platforms such as Blinkit and BB Now, with deliveries arriving at their doorstep within minutes.
Albinder Dhindsa, the co-founder and CEO of Blinkit, announced in a social media post on Friday that the company will be delivering the iPhone 16 models in Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru on the day of its launch.
"Experience the revolutionary iPhone 16, delivered in just 10 minutes! We are delighted to announce our partnership with Unicorn APAC for the third consecutive year, ensuring the latest iPhone models are made available to Blinkit customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru (currently) on the day of launch!" Dhindsa shared.
Furthermore, Unicorn APAC is offering discounts through select credit cards, along with flexible EMI options, to enhance the purchasing experience.
Blinkit, renowned for its swift delivery of groceries and other essential items, is broadening its service to meet the growing demand in the high-tech market.
The company has established collaborations with key Unicorn Stores and Apple retailers, guaranteeing the immediate availability of the iPhone 16 models to its clientele.
Concurrently, the queues outside the Apple stores in Delhi's Saket and Mumbai's BKC's flagship store were notably long.
A customer, Akshay, shared his experience, stating, "I arrived at 6 am and successfully purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The iOS 18 operating system and the zoom camera quality have significantly improved, and I am from Surat."
Another customer, Ujjwal Shah, recounted his experience, saying, "I have been waiting in line for 21 hours. I began my wait at 11 AM yesterday and am eager to be the first to enter the store today at 8 AM. I am filled with excitement...The atmosphere surrounding the iPhone 16 in Mumbai is entirely new...Last year, I spent 17 hours in line."
Apple introduced the new iterations of the iPhone 16 during the second week of September, and the launch date is set for Friday, September 20th. The standard price for the iPhone 16 model with 128 GB storage is Rs 79,900.
To ensure prompt deliveries, the companies have optimized its network of micro-fulfilment centers, strategically placing inventory across major cities. Initially, this service will be available in select areas, with plans for further expansion in the forthcoming months.
