Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a significant advisory, compelling Omani citizens residing in or near areas and countries affected by ongoing military activities to return to their homeland immediately.
The security landscape along the Lebanon-Israel border is currently characterized by extreme volatility, with the potential for Israeli aggression to escalate further.
In a statement, the Ministry emphasized, "Given the prevailing circumstances in certain tense regions of the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs implores all Omani citizens present in or adjacent to these areas and countries to return to their country of origin and to refrain from traveling there during this period."
Furthermore, the Ministry has called upon citizens to reach out to their respective Omani embassies for any inquiries or to seek support and assistance in the event of an emergency.
"Citizens are encouraged to visit the Ministry’s official website or to download the mobile application to contact the embassies and access the most recent information," the statement concluded.
