Citizen Convicted For Hunting Protected Arabian Ibex In Oman

Muscat: The Environment Authority has issued a judicial decision against a resident caught hunting the Arabian Ibex, a protected species in the region.

After the trial, the Ibri Court of Appeal convicted the individual to prison time, a monetary penalty, and ordered him to pay all legal costs incurred throughout the proceedings.

The Environment Authority has made a public appeal encouraging Omani citizens and residents to respect and safeguard the country's natural legacy. They stressed that interfering with animals or harming the environment might have legal consequences.
