Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has successfully executed a rescue operation, saving a family ensnared within their residence in the Wilayat of Sur, in addition to numerous individuals marooned in inundated valleys, as a consequence of intense rainfall across the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
In a formal announcement, the CDAA has verified that the rescue teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department were dispatched to the scene of the emergency and executed a safe extraction of the family from their submerged dwelling. All members of the family have been reported to be in satisfactory health.
Furthermore, the CDAA rescue teams were instrumental in the rescue of four individuals whose vehicle became immobilized in a valley within the Wilayat of Sur. Concurrently, another group of individuals was rescued from a similar predicament. All those rescued have been deemed to be in good health.
The Authority has issued a cautionary appeal to the populace, advising them to exercise prudence, refrain from traversing flooded valleys, and to maintain a safe distance from low-lying regions during episodes of intense rainfall.
